To update the PS5 DualSense’s firmware, you will first need a USB cable that is compatible with your controller and PC. First, go to the official Sony PlayStation website and download the firmware updater for your preferred controller. There are also a set of instructions for you to follow on the website itself, on how to run the program. Run the installation file and follow all the prompts, including any additional software downloads. Once the installation is done, launch the program and then connect your controller to your PC using the USB cable. You will be led to the update page, where you will again have to follow the prompts, then wait for the firmware to update. Till the time the completion message pops up, do not unplug your controller. Once it is completed, click OK and close the window. You can now use the updated firmware on your DualSense controller on your PC.
If you have multiple controllers that need updating, you will have to follow the same method individually. You cannot update multiple controllers in one go. You will also be notified if there are any new updates to the firmware of your controller.
