How to unlock the Lord of Hatred Quest
In order to unlock the quest for Lord of Hatred, you need to complete the Delivering a Promise quest. As part of this quest, you need to travel with Tyrael, arriving at the entrance of The Pools of Creation. After completing this quest, the Lord of Hatred becomes available.
Lord of Hatred Quest in Diablo 4
When Tyrael cuts Mephisto’s corruption from the entrance to get it open, go inside The Pools of Creation, and your goal will be to find Akarat in The Birthplace, located at the end of this zone.
Follow the group of pilgrims as they move to the objective marker on the map. Once there, you will find that people have gathered in this place where they hope that Akarat will perform miracles. Talk to Akarat to start a new cutscene and start the next part of the mission.
Once you defeat Mephisto, you will start a new cutscene with him appearing to be vulnerable and weak as he lies on the ground. At the end of the cutscene, when Mephisto is dragged into a dark pit, get the loot from the corpse and talk to Tyrael standing nearby.
Tyrael will be glad that you survived, but he will tell you that it’s time for you to leave immediately. A portal leading you back to the Temple of Union will spawn nearby. Click on the portal to complete this mission and start the quest A New Beginning.
