Saurodoma is an open-world dungeon designed for players at level 50 and above. This island features unique reptilian enemies that you can farm for high-level loot and gear. You can swim to this island from Daybreak Shore, but this won’t unlock the island on your map. To unlock the island’s Waypoint, you’ll need to ride Gigantrite. Saurodoma Island is a secluded spot located in the southeast part of the main continent in Throne and Liberty. This guide will help you find your way there and show you how to unlock the island on your map.
What is Gigantrite in Thorne and Liberty
The Gigantrite is a massive flying whale that shows up in Throne and Liberty every three hours. It appears on the western edge of the map and makes its way across the land to Saurodoma Island. When it appears, it also provides a buff to all players.
To ride the Gigantrite, players need to follow a few steps, but there’s no need to fight it. First, you’ll need to unlock the Glide Morph ability, which allows you to transform into flying creatures. You can do this by completing quests, defeating bosses, or finishing codex entries. Alternatively, you can buy Glide Morphs from the shop. Whichever Glide Morph you choose, make sure it provides enough distance to reach the Gigantrite.
Gigantrite Schedule in Throne and Liberty
The Gigantrite only appears in-game every three real-life hours. You can check its schedule by looking for a whale icon in the Events tab on your map, which will show the times based on your local time zone. This way you can be ready. Also, the game will send a server-wide message when the Gigantrite appears, letting players know when to keep an eye out for it.
How to Unlock Saurodoma Island in Thorne and Liberty
As the Gigantrite travels, it makes a few stops where players can climb onto its back. The best places to jump on are Purelight Hill or the Starlight Observatory Ruins. Once you’re on board, you can collect Marind Ore and other things that keep respawning. You can relax and enjoy the ride until you arrive at the Saurodoma island.
As you near Saurodoma Island, jump down and glide over to the waypoint. Once you reach it, interact with the waypoint to unlock the area on your map, which will also allow you to access Exploration Codex activities on the island. To face the enemies and succeed in this environment, make sure you have a strong Throne and Liberty build ready. When you get to the Saurodoma Island Waypoint, activate it to unlock fast travel to the island.
