How to Unlock Gold Knife?
To unlock the Combat Knife, you must reach level 17 in your military rank. The Combat Knife has many customization options, including camouflage patterns that players can apply to the standard design. All characters are able to customize their knives, whether they use them or not.
To unlock the gold camo for the Combat Knife in Modern Warfare 2, you will first need to unlock challenges by reaching a certain level with this weapon. Upon completion of these challenges, you will be able to unlock the gold camo for your weapon. Weapons with attachments have four base camo options to earn, whereas weapons without attachments have only one base camo option.
Here are the challenges you need to complete to unlock the gold knife:
- Crimson Base Camo Challenge: Get 50 Kills with Combat Knife
- Gold Camo Challenge: Get 2 Kills without dying, 10 times with Combat Knife
When a user is killed, the Combat Knife doesn’t drop to the ground and can be permanently lost until they respawn. If the user picks up a weapon off the ground, the scavenged weapon will occupy this Combat Knife’s weapon slot.
As usual, opponents are killed instantly when stabbed with a Combat Knife. One downside of this weapon is that it must be close to inflicting damage on an opponent. If an enemy is wearing armor – especially if it’s on their back – the weapon does little more than scratch it. Additionally, the knife makes a distinctive sound when used against someone with an Assault Shield, alerting them and giving them time to react.
