Trading is a very important part of Path of Exile 2, allowing players to exchange items, currency, and gear in order to enhance gameplay. Whether it’s trading with friends, random players in safe hubs, or using the official trading website, the system is accessible and efficient. From setting up your Premium Stash Tabs for public trading to negotiating deals directly with other players, mastering the trading process can help you acquire the items you need to optimize your build and progress through the game. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about trading in POE2.
Trading in POE2
Trading with another player in-game is straightforward, but it starts with being in the same location and instance as them. You can trade with random players you encounter in safe hubs or with your friends. If you are trading with a friend, it’s easier if you teleport to each other to get started.
Listing Item for Trading
To list items for trading, you will need a Premium Stash Tab, and you must be at least Level 25. Premium Stash Tabs aren’t free, they cost 15 coins, which you will need to purchase with real money. Once you have upgraded a tab to Premium, it will turn green. Right-click on it to customise your settings.
You can make the tab public and decide how you want to price your items. You can set a fixed price for all items, price them individually, or leave it open for negotiation. If you go for individual pricing, simply click on an item in your tab and set what you’d like in exchange. Interested players will then Whisper to you directly to negotiate or complete the purchase.
How to Trade
To initiate a trade, approach the player and interact with them. This will open a menu, and you will find the ‘Trade’ option listed. Select it to send a trade request. Once the other player accepts, a trade screen will appear showing your inventory along with two offer boxes. The bottom box is for the items you are offering, while the top box shows what the other player is contributing. You can hover over items to view details before confirming the trade.
You can, of course, trade on the official Path of Exile 2 website too. The website allows you to filter a list of desired items or complete a bulk trade. For items, you might filter by things like minimum level, attributes, damage, and even rarity when you are doing an individual piece. You get the exact price, and it will allow you to message the guy to arrange a trade. For bulk item trades, you can select the items you want and those you have to offer, and the system will show you matching deals. It’s a convenient way to streamline your trading experience.
