To find the Quetzal, there is no fixed spawn point. Instead, you have to keep searching the skies to find it. You also have to prepare yourself first to capture the Quetzal. For that, you will need a flying mount like the Argentavis or the Pteranodon, grappling hooks, a parachute, and either a net gun or a crossbow loaded with tranquilizer darts. Get on your flying mount and fly above the Quetzal. You now have to jump off and quickly dispatch a parachute with the grapple hooks to hook yourself on to the mount while dangling below. Use the attack whistle command to make the mount track the Quetzal.

Once you are still flying above the Quetzal, shoot the net gun or the darts at it. Once the Quetzal falls to the ground, quickly get down and unload the remaining of your tranquilizer darts to subdue it. You will need around 70 darts to knock it down. Once it is down, plant two Dino Gateways across its body to secure it. Keep feeding it Exceptional Kibble and Raw Mutton to speed up the taming process, and also feed it narcotics to keep it down.
