What is Slide Cancel?
Slide canceling will help you travel around the map faster. It helps improve your movement and also helps in getting a win in gunfights. It has grown in popularity and is now an essential move in Warzone and Pacific maps.
Instead of sprinting, you can simply slide cancel your way around the map. You also won’t get caught in the middle of a shootout.
How to Slide Cancel?
You will have to use the Tactical Sprint in quick succession, multiple times. You will get an increased speed and will allow you to zoom across the map.
For PC
- Go to Settings Menu and keyboard
- Go to Change Stance/Slide and use a key you are comfortable pressing multiple times, like C.
- Once you have this set, you are now ready to slide cancel. To make it work, you would have to:
- Double-tap the Tactical Sprint (Left Shift by default)
- Press your Change Stance/Slide bind at the time same. Hit it again quickly to use crouch and stand.

- Start the sprint
- Before your Tactical Sprint ends, press Slide
- Before hitting the slide’s slowest point, press Slide again and Jump in quick succession
