Of the most hyped techniques in the Call of Duty franchise, slide canceling allows rapid movement across the map, particularly beneficial for tactical advantages. In Black Ops 6, with the new system of Omnimovement that provides incredible mobility, this technique is nearly essential for experienced players to master the game well. With the understanding of the steps and mastering the timing, you can gain an upper hand over your opponents and come out on top of the battlefield.
Slide Cancel in Black Ops 6
Even though players can move in any direction really fast using Omnimovement, a lot of people still like to use a technique called slide-canceling in multiplayer games. This technique, seen in many Call of Duty games, lets players move around the maps as quickly as possible. Players start sliding into an area, but they stop the slide mid-way by pressing the jump button or another movement key. This tricks the enemy who’s shooting at them, as the player suddenly changes direction and sprints away. While Black Ops 6 still has slide-canceling, it’s not as effective as before due to the new Omnimovement system. There’s a short delay between stopping the slide and standing up straight, making it harder to use quickly in the middle of a fight.
