If you’re trying to complete the objective to sabotage the UESC Comms Antenna in Marathon, the hardest part is simply locating it. It is hidden in the outer area of the map, making it easy to overlook whilst exploring. This guide will detail where to locate it, as well as the result of activating the beacon.
Finding the UESC Antenna in Processing
You should try to approach this objective from the Processing if you’re going south or southwest. The antenna that you will have to activate is located at the outer edge of the processing area.
To reach the antenna, look for a long deck that extends outward towards the edge of the area. The deck will lead you directly to where the antenna is located. It may be possible that enemies are present in this area. To avoid having to fight any enemies while you are moving to the objective, you may want to take a somewhat indirect path.
When you arrive at the end of the deck, you will see the antenna and be able to activate the beacon.
Enemy Wave and Commander Encounter
Once you activate the beacon, enemies will spawn, and the situation turns into a boss encounter. Combat will begin as soon as the objective has been triggered.
The commander may spawn at either the end of the dock or at the post nearest to the dock. If a Cascade event interrupts the boss fight, you will need to wait until the event ends before locating the commander.
You can collect the credentials that the commander drops after you have defeated them. After picking up the item, you can proceed to extract to complete the objective.
