If you’re having issues getting the key from the Marni Laboratory during the Fortress Keys quest in Crimson Desert and if you’re not sure how to solve this section since finding the solutions isn’t always obvious, then this guide is the one for you. Below, we’ve listed down quick steps on how to continue through this region, eliminate enemies, defeat the boss, and obtain the key without any confusion.
Check the Optional Memory
If you want to experience all that Marni’s Laboratory has to offer, you can use your lantern to discover a memory in the vicinity before proceeding through the Laboratory. You are not required to collect this memory to complete the quest, but if you are going for a full collection, you will want to collect it since it will contribute toward your overall completion percentage.
Clear the Base and Defeat the Boss
You must fully clear the entire base before you can complete your objective. The quest cannot progress until you have done this. Keep an eye on the left side of your screen; you should see a percentage. Your goal is to get that percentage to zero. Once you reach zero, that base will be completely liberated.
After you clear that base, you need to defeat Dreadnought (the boss) in the same area. When you are in the electrical room, exit through the front door, and turn to your right. The boss is in a small arena outside.
The fight is pretty easy. The boss uses a belly flop and a laser beam attack. Your focus should be on dodging both of these attacks. This fight may take a little bit to get through, but it shouldn’t be too bad overall.
Pick Up the Key
After you defeat the boss, you can get the key from the above spot. The location of the Key, after defeating the boss, is next to the Electrical Panel, in a small room with barges on top. To get the key, leave the area, take a right, and you will find yourself in the laboratory area where you can collect the key.
