To reset the timer for any Zone Recon Mission, all you have to do is first set your server to Private. Next, you need to teleport to another section of the map within the same region. If you are doing the recon mission in Derelict Covert, Echo Swamp, then you can teleport anywhere within the neighboring areas like Muskeg Swamp or Abandoned Zone within the Echo Swamp region. Then, go back to the Zone Recon Mission area and you will find that the timer has been reset
This is the only way to reset the timer, by visiting a nearby area while in a Private server. Public servers might already have the mission cleared, so you might find that the cooldown is in place while exploring the Recon Missions in public servers. So if you wish to try this trick, then private servers are the way to go
