In Soulmask, you can build more than one base settlement as long as you can build a bonfire. Currently, you can set up around 3 bonfires at a time, so you can easily create three different settlements. You can open up your map and check how many bonfires are currently created and how many more you can craft. Having multiple bonfires makes it easy to travel from one base to another and also transport materials.
There is no fixed type of bonfire you have to create to meet the requirements of owning multiple bases. As long as there is an active bonfire and you have not yet reached the bonfire cap, you can always craft new ones in your selected locations.
