To collect milk, you need to either hunt down fawn or ewe. The earliest you can get milk is by hunting down fawns, since they commonly spawn across the starting areas of the game. As for ewe, you need to explore the Red Sands region to find them on mountains and hills. Once you find an ewe or fawn, kill them and butcher them to collect milk. You can then take milk to your base to turn it into butter
To get butter, you need to first unlock the Integrated Kitchen memetic, which comes under Logistics Tier 4. You now have unlocked the recipe for butter. Next, make your way over to the electric stove or kitchen stove and select the recipe to cook butter. You require 3x of Goat/Deer milk to cook one slab of butter.
