To unlock a forge, you first need to find 5x Forge Ahead magazines. You can find the Forge Ahead magazines by scavenging shelves, bookcases, mailboxes, and other structures inside buildings and homes. The chances of this spawning is random, so keep an out for them and collect 5. Now, you need to craft the forge, and for that you require the following materials
- Cobblestone Rocks x50
- Wood Log x1
- Leather x10
- Duct Tape x3
- Short Iron Pipes x3
Most of the above items can be obtained while scavenging broken structures. The only thing you need to craft in this list is wood logs, which you can get from wood. Now you can build and place the forge at your base. To use the forge, interact with it and you can get a list of recipes that can be crafted using this structure. Mostly, the forge is used in smelting various ores into ingots and using them for crafting weapons and gear
