Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is a fantastic RPG with great battles that have very rewarding experiences. While leveling up is done automatically, sometimes you want to speed up the process so you can beat those tougher bosses or new areas. This guide will help you discover strategies and provide some tips on how to level up efficiently so you’ll be ready for whatever comes next.

How to Level Up Fast

The best ways to level up quickly in Dragon Quest 3 Remake aren’t available right away. You’ll level up fast at the start, so it’s not a big deal until you reach level 10. To level up quickly, you’ll need a few special items. First, you’ll need the Thief’s Key, which you get after beating the first big dungeon, Dreamer’s Tower. Then, you’ll need the Magic Key, which you get after defeating Ripper of the Rift and finishing the Pyramid dungeon. Finally, getting a ship is optional, but it can help. You’ll get it after you find Black Pepper for the King of Portoga.

The best enemy to fight for quick leveling is the Metal Slime. Places where you can find them:

  • Tower of Transcendence
  • Orochi’s Lair
  • Woods outside Persistence

How to Beat Metal Slime

Here are some tips for defeating Metal Slimes:

  1. Headman’s Axe: This weapon has low accuracy but always lands a critical hit. Equip it on your Warrior for powerful attacks.
  2. Coagulant: This item can confuse enemies, making them unable to escape and potentially attack each other. It’s great for wiping out Metal Slimes.
  3. Poison Needle: This weapon deals minimal damage but has a chance to instantly kill an enemy. Equip all your party members with it to increase your chances.
  4. Martial Artist Class: These characters have a high critical hit rate, making them ideal for dealing heavy damage to Metal Slimes.
  5. Puff! Spell: This spell deals massive damage to Metal Slimes but takes a turn to transform. Use the Acceleratle spell on slow characters to speed up the process.
