During a mission, your hunter can inspect their handheld weapon and get a better view. But you cannot unlock all weapon inspect animations in one go. Rather, they come in waves, and you can inspect a particular weapon group first before moving on to the next. Below are all the weapon groups you can currently inspect in Hunt Showdown

  • Single and Dual Wield Pistols
  • Melee Weapons and Tools
  • World-spawned weapons
  • Special weapons

Each weapon has their unique weapon inspect animation, but currently not all weapons are covered. If you wish to inspect your chosen weapon, you have to press the following controls.

  • Console – When weapon wheel is open, press Y (Xbox)/ Triangle (PS)
  • PC – I or customize in keybind settings.

Another unique feature of weapons inspection is that it can be interrupted by performing other actions in the game. So if you want to cut your inspecting short, you can aim, shoot, or run to stop the animation.
