The best place you can go to farm Withered Silkworm is in Webbed Hollow > Cliff of Oblivion in Chapter 4’s Webbed Hollow region. From the shrine, go right and enter the passage further right where all the cocoons are. Go past the cocoons to find giant caterpillar enemies. You need to kill these large worms to farm Withered Silkworms. There are two types of this kind of enemy. The smaller ones tend to drop 1x Withered Silkworm, while the larger caterpillars drop 2. Keep exploring the area to find them all and kill them
Sometimes, you need to break a cocoon or get close to the cocoon clusters for the smaller worms to burst out. After which you can kill them to farm Withered Silkworm. You can always rest at the nearest shrine and head back to this location, as all enemies will respawn this way, giving you an infinite Withered Silkworm farming method. Another way to get Withered Silkworm is to purchase it from the Temple of Yellow Flowers > Mountain Trail in Webbed Hollow.
