How to Get the True Ending in Persona 5 Royal
Ranking up your confidants can unlock various endings in Persona 5: Royal. Here we will see how to get the True Ending in the game.
There are three confidants that you need to keep in mind to hit the true ending target. The three confidants are Councilor Arcana Maruki, Justice Arcana Akechi, and Faith Arcana Kasumi. For Maruki and Akechi, they need to reach rank 9 and rank 8 respectively, and you need to do it before November 17th. Kasumi needs to reach rank 5 before December 18th.
Maruki can be unlocked on May 13th, and you can meet him on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays right after school. You can find him on the first floor of the practice building in Shujin Academy, outside the nurse’s office. Keep interacting with him and attending his sessions to rank him.
Akechi will be unlocked on June 10th, and you can find him outside the Penguin Sniper club in Kichijoji. You can only visit him at night, and he is available almost every night except Sundays. Akechi is one of the tougher confidants to level up, as you need to meet certain requirements. You need to upgrade the Joker’s Knowledge and Charm to Level 3, and later have Level 4 knowledge to meet Akechi after November 2nd. Also, Akechi will be unavailable till September 3rd and November 2nd, and you can only meet him after upgrading the Joker. To meet him after September 3rd, you need to travel to LeBlanc and meet him there. And finally, to upgrade him to rank 8, there is a tough solo battle that you need to complete.
Kasumi is a bit easier to level up, and you can unlock her on May 30th. You need to keep an eye on any invitation she sends to the Joker’s phone, and accepting them will rank her up.
Besides leveling up your confidants, you also need to reject all the bad boss’s offers. You will get these offers on November 20th, December 24th, January 9th, and February 2nd. You need to pick the negative replies to the questions and reject all offers made. Only then can you unlock the true ending.
