Ring of Greater Dexterity is an important item that should be used by players wishing to increase their Dexterity in Gothic 1 Remake. This item is hidden within a locked chest located in the highest part of Raven’s tower, which is located in the Old Camp. However, in order to acquire the item, you will have to solve the lockpick puzzle. Just keep in mind that the solution below was tested with the basic Lockpicking skill and may not work if you’ve already mastered the skill.
How to Get the Ring of Greater Dexterity
The Ring of Greater Dexterity is located in a locked chest on the top floor of Raven’s tower in the Old Camp. In order to obtain it, you should go to the second floor of the Old Camp fortress and then move along the corridor till its end. Then enter the left room, go through the door in this room, climb up the stairs to the top of the tower, and unlock the chest in order to get the Ring of Greater Dexterity.
It should be noted that this lock-picking trick was tested on the base version of the Lockpicking skill without any upgrades. As a result, once this skill is upgraded, the lock will act differently, and this approach won’t work anymore.
To open the chest, begin with the 2nd plate being turned to the right thrice. Then shift the 4th plate to the left once and turn the 1st plate to the right once. Following this, turn the 3rd plate to the right once and the 5th plate to the right once. Turn the 4th plate to the left once again, and the 1st plate to the right twice and then the 3rd plate to the right twice.
After that, turn the 1st plate to the right twice again and then turn the 5th plate to the right twice. Shift the 4th plate to the left twice and then turn the 1st plate to the right twice. Turn the 3rd plate to the right four times and the 1st plate to the right four times.
Following this, rotate the 5th plate five turns towards the right. Rotate the 3rd plate four more turns towards the right, and the 1st plate four turns towards the right. Next, rotate the 6th plate four turns towards the right, and the 4th plate two turns towards the left. Finally, rotate the 3rd plate one turn towards the right to solve the puzzle and open the chest.
