Lockpicks are among the first things you will need in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In every game, you being a victim, the task is first to escape the Slaughter Family’s basement, which isn’t possible until you find a lockpick as all doors are locked. But getting a lockpick is easier said than done; hence, we will guide you on securing a lockpick and getting out before Leatherface finds you.
How to Get Lockpicks in Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Once you know where to look, finding lockpicks is simple in the game. When you start the game, always look for those blue toolboxes. They are all around the room and usually in well-lit places, at least lit enough so you can spot the blue toolboxes. If you have the Tool Tracks Perk, spotting the blue toolboxes are easy, as they will be visible even from across walls. You can only spot them through walls for 30 seconds, so quickly find the lockpicks.
Finding the blue toolboxes is the easy part. Once you find them, you need to solve the puzzle to open them, and getting it wrong will alert the Leatherface and lead him to you. When you interact with the toolbox, you will see two meters, one yellow (which you need to fill to unlock the toolbox) and the other grey (if it fills, it will make a noise and alert the Leatherface). The trick to open the lock is to press E and then release. Time it well; you will unlock the toolbox without alerting the Leatherface.
