You can only try and farm silk in Chapter 2, as the rat enemies tend to drop silk after death. You can also try and farm them from other enemies in Chapter 2, but rats seem to drop them more frequently. The best part is that they tend to respawn if you rest and revisit the area, making it an ideal way to farm silk. Besides hunting down rat enemies, you might also find silk inside chests. Though the drop rate is random, you can get a handful of silk this way
If you require silk earlier than Chapter 2, you might find it inside the Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple, Grand Chamber shrine. You can visit this area after ringing the three bells and being transported to Elder Jinchi’s lair. Interact with the shrine and visit the shop to see that they have silk for sale. It will cost 600 Will to purchase one silk, and you are limited to only 2 silk to buy. With this, you can craft some better armor for yourself to help you defeat the bosses in Chapter 1
