To locate wild Saffron, make your way to Iron River and head over to 6211, -2879. Using this as your starting point, travel southeast and follow along the grassy plains to find Saffron. Saffron are identifiable by their long green stalks and red flowers. There are tons of them growing along the area, so you can have ample saffron to collect. Along the way you might get saffron seeds, which you can take to your base and plant them
You can also grow deviated saffron if you have Fertilizer – Mutant Boost. You can unlock this fertilizer schematic under the Logistics section of the memetics skill tree. It is found under Tier 5 – Fertilizer III. After unlocking it, you need to craft the fertilizer using 3x Fertilizer, x30 Stardust Source, and 5x Mushroom. Now place the fertilizer in your soil along with the saffron seeds to grow deviated saffron. You can also use the Fertilizer – Breeding Boost instead of mutant boost to get more saffron seeds per yield
