Dead by Daylight is one of the scariest survival horror games where the game will be between 4 survivors and a killer. Though the team division is uneven, the killer is much more powerful and aggressive than the Survivors. The main task is to escape the killer and repair the generators throughout the map. However, a few game features must be understood properly to play the game smoothly, and Potential Energy is among them. So, this guide will help you know how Potential Energy works in Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight Potential Energy Explained- How It Works?
Dead by Daylight is a complicated game with too many things to understand. However, they bring new features to the game whenever new updates come, and if you don’t figure them out properly, they will create problems. When Vittorio Toscano was added to the game, he brought three perks, and Potential Energy is one of them.

During update 6.1.0, the game received a few new characters, including a new survivor named Vittorio Toscano. He has three teachable perks, and Potential Energy is one of the most complicated among them. To activate this ability, players need to repair a generator for 12/10/8 uninterrupted seconds. Next, you will find an ‘Active Ability’ button to press and activate Potential Energy.
Once the Potential Energy is activated, players will progress toward Potential Energy rather than the Generator. For each 1.5% progression, players will get 1 Token and can collect 20 Token maximum. When you have at least one Potential Energy Token, and you are still repairing a Generator, you can press the Active Ability button to progress it by 1% instantly. If you use all your Tokens, your Potential Energy will be deactivated.
Though there are several positive sides to using Potential Energy as the Tokens help you progress through the Generators instantly, there are a few negative sides too. While you can repair 20% of a generator instantly with the help of these Tokens, the first problem is you have to sacrifice your generator progress to get this ability, and another problem is that if a killer hits you, you will lose all your Tokens.
That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Potential Energy in Dead by Daylight.
