Phione is one of the rarest Pokémon you can capture in Pokémon Pokopia, and it requires a bit more effort to capture compared to other Pokémon. However, before you go in search of it, you will need to first unlock a particular Dream Island by doing a couple of things in Bubbly Basin. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock the island, improve your chances of finding Phione, and where to look once it finally appears.
How to Get Phione
Before you can start, the first thing that you will have to do is increase the Environment level of Bubbly Basin to 3, since this is needed for the quest that is needed in order to get Phione. Once you have done this, go to the area near the bridge that is near the Pokémon Centre.
Here, you will meet Frillish that is stuck near the cave. Talk to it, remove the rocks from the cave, and allow it to enter the cave, where you have to search for the Starmie Doll.
Visit Basin Dream Island
Put the Starmie Doll wherever you want in your town, and summon Drifloon to head to Basin Dream Island. Basin Dream Island is the only location where you can find Phione. Phione will not be there all the time when you visit Dream Island.
The appearance of Phione has a probability each time you visit a Dream Island. In case Phione has not appeared, you will have to wait until the next time you get to visit the Dream Island on a different day. The quickest way to see if you can find Phione is to check if it shows up on your Pokédex once you filter it to that specific Dream Island.
After finding Phione through the Pokédex, go to the huge cave located in the middle of the island. Look for Phione in the cave and then speak with it. Talk to it, and it will ask to join your town. Recruit it, and Phione will officially become part of your collection.
Phione can also spawn inside a small room built with concrete brick and coral walls. As you’re exploring the cave, pay close attention to the surroundings. If you notice a section of the wall that looks different from the rest of the cave, that’s a good sign you’ve found a hidden room. Head inside, and you may find Phione waiting there.
