PEAK, the co-op climbing breakout game, isn’t entirely about teamwork and survival—it’s also riddled with offbeat, creative achievements. One of the more refined trophies that players can earn is the Gourmand Badge, which rewards players for trying out the game’s surprisingly deep cooking system.

Despite what some might think, enabling the Gourmand Badge is not especially difficult. It merely requires a bit of exploration, a few special ingredients, and the ability to cook them. Provided you are eager to include this cooking-based badge among your collection, here is everything you should know.

What Is the Gourmand Badge in PEAK?

The Gourmand Badge is a badge that is achieved by cooking and consuming four ingredients in a single run. As much as PEAK has a lot of weird items and random loot, this badge is all about foraging, crafting, and cooking with intention.

Opening the badge isn’t just a delicious distraction—it’s also part of the overall challenge for achievement hunters who want to 100% the game. It also gives players a sense of exploration as they explore the different biomes on the island in search of exotic ingredients.

Ingredients Required for the Gourmand Badge

To get the Gourmand Badge, you need to cook and eat the following four ingredients in one playthrough:

  • Half Coconut
  • Honeycomb
  • Yellow Winterberry
  • Egg

Each of these ingredients is tied to a different biome in the game, and finding them will require progressing through the island’s four major regions.

Where to Find Each Ingredient?

1. Half Coconut – Found in the Tropics and Shore Biomes

The easiest ingredient to acquire is the Half Coconut. Look for coconut trees in the Shore (starting zone) and Tropics (the first zone). You can climb these trees and, at the top, you can harvest coconuts. These split into two halves when broken—consume one after cooking to fulfill this requirement.

2. Honeycomb – Found in the Tropics

Next, head deeper into the Tropics and look for beehives. These can be found hanging from trees or cliff faces. Destroying a hive will cause bees to attack you, so proceed carefully or use distractions. Once the hive is destroyed, you’ll collect a Honeycomb, which can be cooked like any other item.

3. Yellow Winterberry – Found in the Alpine Biome

This is the trickiest of the four ingredients. The Yellow Winterberry is born in the Alpine biome, the third snowy area of the map. It has a chance to spawn randomly on trees, but the best way of getting it is to search for Capybaras, who occasionally have the berries on or around them. Use the Bugle (found near the plane crash) to serenade the Capybaras, which will normally cause them to drop the berry. Once acquired, cook and consume it to progress towards the badge.

4. Egg – Found in the Caldera Biome

Finally, head up to the Caldera, the volcanic fourth zone, to hunt for eggs. These are typically found in nests within rock outcroppings or geothermal vents. Eggs are rare, but you’ll find one eventually if you look around carefully and keep an eye out near bird behaviors or strange formations.

How to Cook and Eat in PEAK?

Once you’ve gathered all four ingredients, you’ll need to find a campfire to cook them. Fires are scattered across the island and are usually found near resting areas or inside caves. Interact with the fire, select the item to cook, and then consume it afterward.

Cooking is essential—not only for the Gourmand Badge, but also for survival, as many cooked items restore more stamina or remove negative status effects. Make sure you’re cooking each of the four ingredients and eating them in the same session. Eating them raw or collecting them without cooking will not count toward the achievement.
