The earliest way of getting Gilded Lumber is by finding and breaking Fae Chests. You will encounter Fae Chests during your exploration, and they usually spawn near various points of interest and ruins. It is best to take your time and scavenge the lands thoroughly to find these chests, as you will get other rare rewards from it as well. Later on in the game, after you have unlocked The Watch, you can purchase Gilded Lumber from the Essence Traders here. In particular, you need to find the Dauntless Tools Essence Trader. They will sell the Gilded Lumber item for 100 T3 Essence. If you haven’t started farming T3 Essence yet, you can explore the Vault in The Watch and hunt down the enemies here to get T3 Essence. Later on, after unlocked Ascended Realms, you can farm T3 Essence there as well.
If purchasing Gilded Lumber isn’t your thing, you can also craft it using the Excellent Saw Table. Again, this schematic is available at the Dauntless Tools Essence Trader at The Watch, so purchase the schematic and craft the Excellent Saw Table.
