Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is finally here as the latest RPGs in the Pokemon franchise. As the first installments of the ninth generation of Pokemon games, they have a long line of predecessors to stand up against. Players will be able to explore the new areas of the island Paldea on their Nintendo Switch. In this guide, we will take you through the process of how to get Frigibax Scales in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Where to Find Frigibax Scales in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
In the new Paldea region of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you will find a lot of items that you can collect and fight. Along with Pokemon to battle against there are items lying on the ground that are shining, and you can see them from afar especially in the dark. However, for some items, you will need to defeat some Pokemon to get them, such as the Frigibax Scales.

For the Frigibax Scales, you will need to find the rare spawner Frigibax. These items are important as they are crafting material which you can use to make TMs. Also, you can sell them for League Points in the game. Below, you can find the location for the Frigibax on the Pokedex.
As you can see, the Dragon and Ice type Pokemon is found only in caves with deep snow, which is why they are rarely seen. You will need to make your way to the ice biome, which is the Glaseado Mountain region in the far north of Paldea. A lot of other Ice Type Pokemon spawn here as well, so you will need to invest quite a bit of time to find a Frigibax spawn.
Frigibax tend to be on the northern slopes, and sometimes can be found on the surface of the mountains with open space. Once you find one, you will need to defeat it. Make sure to use Rock Type, Steel or Dragon Type Pokemon to defeat it quickly and collect those Frigibax Scales. Upto three Frigibax Scales will drop from the Pokemon.
