How to get bamboo in Sengoku Dynasty
The only way you can find bamboo is by exploring. Mostly they are found near the river beds and streams. There is a patch of bamboo on the south side of the map. Visit the stream here to find bamboo. You can also spot some bamboo near the Inari Shrine, in Iwasaki, and near Chiyume’s hut.
To cut down the bamboo, you will need an axe. You can get the basic axe in the early game, but that will help you cut the small bamboo shoots. To cut the large bamboo, you need an iron axe. You can forge an iron axe way later into the game. For now, you can cut and use small bamboo for daily use.

To get straws, you first need to gather grass. You can find various types of grass as you keep exploring the land. The earliest type of grass you will find is the Eulalia Grass.
