The turtle is a new pet added to the 1.6 update, and to get a turtle you need to first take care of your earlier pets. If you have pets like the cat and the dog from before the update, you need to maximize your friendship level with them and reach 1000 points. The only way you can get to this point is to fill their water bowl and pet them. To know how many points are left, you can check the Animals tab and select the pet whose friendship levels you want to check. Once you meet the requirements, make your way to Marnie’s Ranch to adopt a new pet. You can select between two turtle variants and its cost as listed below
- Purple-shelled Turtle – 500,000 gold
- Green-shelled Turtle – 60,000 gold
If you cannot own another pet yet, you should ensure that you have a new Pet Bowl for your new pet. Each new pet added to your home requires a new Pet Bowl. You can purchase the Pet Bowl blueprint from the carpenter’s store for 5000 gold. It requires 25x hardwood to craft it, and you can get hardwood by chopping down Mahogany Trees. If you meet all the requirements, then you can purchase the turtle and Marnie will send it to your home.
