In Subnautica 2, Lead is an important resource for crafting, especially for players in the early stages of progression. While it can be found with relative ease in the game, there is a quick and accessible starting biome for players to quickly harvest several Lead deposits. Here is where to find Lead and how to collect it.

Reach the Wreckage Area

You can locate Lead by traveling about 350 meters northeast from your current position near the life pod. If you look to your left (northeast) when you leave the life pod, you should see some wreckage in the water. This wreckage marks the location where Lead is available for collection early in the game.

Search Around the Wreckage

Once you arrive at the wreck site, go down to the bottom of the structure. You will see some Lead deposits in this area. There are many Lead deposits in close proximity, which is why it is a good place to farm for Lead in the early game.

You may find it easier to gather the resources using the Sonic Resonator. The Lead deposits are located in different areas, including on the four corners of the wreck, so spend some time exploring the surrounding areas before moving on.

Early-Game Lead Farming Spot

Although you’ll be able to locate Lead much easily towards the end of the game you can still find it early on by taking advantage of this area. You’ll be able to use Lead for crafting a number of things in the game. From the Sonic Resonator Tool to Sugar of Saturn, Lead is required for a lot of recipes.
