When you have begun a war with another country, there are two things that you will need. These are called Generals and Battalions which make up the Military of your country. You need them if you want to fight in a war.

Generals are useful as they will lead your soldiers into battle. Soldiers without a General will not be able to fight in war. To get some Generals, you will need to hire and promote them. You can do this by spending Bureaucracy points. Note that generals will be able to lead only a certain number of troops until you promote them to lead a higher number. You can do this by clicking on their icon on the Military menu.

Meanwhile, Battalions can be recruited from the Barracks. Each level of Barracks will produce one Battalion. While Battalions are necessary, you will need a General in a location first before you can place a Battalion there.

With the help of Generals and Battalions, you will be able to lead your soldiers into battle. Make sure to check on the progress of the war by clicking on the Warfront overview menu.
