Fortnitemare Event has introduced lots of new content in the game, including the Alteration Altars, Howler Claws, Pumpkin Launcher, and others. In addition, some locations like Reality Tree and Grim Gables have changed their appearance to match the Event, and some locations like Logjam Junction and Sleepy Sounds have changed their names to Chromejam Junction and Shiny Sound. If you play Fortnite regularly, you have definitely found the Wolf-like players slashing each other. That’s called the Howler Claws that players can use to complete a Fortnitemare quest as well.
The Hawler Claws are a new introduction to this season as a part of the Fortnitemare Event. If you want to complete the ‘Hit an enemy while Wolfscent is active’ quest, you need Hawler Claws. Hawler Claws are not that difficult to find. You need to detect the Alteration Altars and perfrom the ritual to get Hawler Claws. Alteration Alters can be found scattered throughout the map, especially in Reality Tree (3 Alteration Altars), Chromejam Junction, Shiny Sound, Shimmering Shrine, Cloudy Condos, etc.
Once you get a Hawler Claw, equip it as you equip other weapons. You’ll get the prompt on the screen to activate the Wolfscent ability based on the platform you are playing. Now, all you have to do is find an opponent, activate the ability, and slash him with your claws. Well, this process needs to be done quickly; before your opponent notices you and starts firing on you. Another important thing to note is the Howler Claw has a long cooldown timer of 18 Seconds. You can’t use it within this time.
