Sometimes, war cannot be prevented. However, there are some steps that you can take in order to make it come to an end. In Victoria 3, there are three ways that you can choose between to end a war that in ongoing in the game. These are as follows:
- Peace Deal: This involves proposing a peace deal to the opposing country and having them accept it, or vice versa with you accepting a peace deal from your enemy.
- White Peace: This works in the same way as a peace deal, except that the situation is a lot worse and no war goals are forced.
- Capitulate: This means that every war goal will need to be enforced. It can go either way.
If you want to end the war, you will need to choose between these three options. You can pick them in the War Overview by clicking on the Make Peace tab. You will be able to see the list of war goals, following which you can move forward with your choice.
