To start dismantling weapons in The First Descendant, you can go through the following steps.

Head over to your inventory
Select the Weapons Tab
Hover the cursor over your preferred unequipped weapon
After that, select the option Select Junk
You can either select which weapons to assign as Junk, or select Designate All as Junk to dismantle everything
To filter out which weapons you want to dismantle, select the Filter option
In the Filter menu, you can select your weapons based on levels, skills, and more
You can collect items like Superalloy and Liquid Metal for each weapon you dismantled. For reactors, you can collect Solenoid and Superconductor Core. While External Components gives Void Organism.
