The new DLC The Awakened King adds quite a number of new things to the game. There are three new bosses added to the game, the Sunken Witch being one of them. She is an optional boss and it is not necessary to beat the Sunken Witch to complete the questline, however, we suggest you fight her, because she drops a very good item.
Where to Find the Sunken Witch Location in Remnant 2
Given that the maps in Remnant 2 are randomly generated, it is not possible to give a specific location for the Sunken Witch. She can appear in any area in Losomn and the only thing you can do is fully explore every area. However she does not appear in any of the Castle areas of Losomn.
How to Defeat the Sunken Witch
The Sunken Witch is a massive dran that uses a fishing hook as a weapon on her left hand. She is essentially a scaled up version of the new witch enemies that have been added to the game. Killing her nets you a Tome of Knowledge, as is usual for all bosses, and a Hex Wreath, which can be used to make the Creeping Mist weapon mod.
The Sunken witch does not have any major gimmicks by itself. The key aspect of the battle lies in the unique narrow map. The boss makes very effective use of the narrow spaces to land attacks on the players. Don’t panic and focus on practicing your dodge rolls. Also, try to reduce your armor weight so that you don’t flop due to heavy armor. Ideally you want to have light or medium armor load. The Ring of Omens is a valid option if you want to keep your heavy armor.
Most of the Witch’s attacks are two hit combos, in which she swings upwards and then downwards. After that final swing, you have a few seconds to deal damage. Remember to be slow and steady, and always roll into her attacks from close. The map also has certain breakable areas that you can bait the boss into hitting and breaking, thus expanding the map and giving you more breathing room. Also you can use explosive attacks like the Meridian to break said areas. During certain times, the pig-dog creatures found throughout Losomn will spawn and attack you in packs. Deal with them as quickly as possible.
