Soldiers wearing helmets are tougher than your usual enemies, because they will need to be killed in a specific way. They have a full suit of armor which doesn’t seem to take any damage no matter how many hits you land. It’s practically resistant. However, there is a special way to defeat them.

If you are using a Crossbow, you need to aim for a headshot. You can also shoot bolts at the back of your enemies. Shooting at a vital location like the head will pierce the shot through the helmet and kill the soldier instantly. However, you will need good aim for this. Alternatively, you can also hit somewhere else and damage their armor slowly. Since you have a ranged weapon, make sure you stay out of harm’s way.

Another way to kill these pesky opponents is Tar Pots. You will need to get some Tar as well as a way to set things on fire. Tar Jars are also pretty handy as long as you have crafted enough of them.
