The Redstone Golem is one of the several mini-bosses in the game and you will encounter this massive beast made from Redstone ore frequently in the final three levels. So, it’s important you know the trick to defeat Redstone Golem in Minecraft Dungeons.
Strategy to Defeat Redstone Golem
Fortunately, the mini-boss has some weakness and it does not take long to figure out its attack style. However, if you happen to take the brunt of one of its attacks, the damage can be massive and a few blows can easily take you out. The situation becomes complicated when the mini-boss is accompanied with additional enemies and you have to deal with the mob consisting of the Redstone Golem simultaneously in the later stages of the game.
You need to develop a strategy to defeat Redstone Golem if you want progress in the game smoothly. The mini-boss has two main attacks, one the ability to summon mines and the other a melee attack. The melee attack causes high damage and knockback. The Redstone Golem is also quite quick which makes maintaining distance a challenge.
However, the best strategy to defeat the Redstone Golem is to maintain a safe distance and use ranged attacks. As you make your way to the mini-boss hacking and slaying the mobs, you get plenty of ranged attacks weapons as rewards. Avoid the mines and use ranged attacks. A pet always come handy when you encounter mini-bosses in the game. And to defeat the Redstone Golem, the pet can buy your precious time.
The pet can distract the mini-boss while you can lay down ranged attack from the back. The pet won’t last long so make sure to cause as much damage as possible.
Another important thing to remember during the fight is the Redstone Golem will try to set mines by getting close to the player, this is your moment and the player is free to wail the best attacks on the monster. But, before he completes setting the mines get away from it and in doing so remember to avoid the mines.
Trying to defeat the mini-boss in a one-o-one battle is suicide, the player will not last more than few seconds. Only a few blows from the monster will suffice to end you. With some artifacts such as the Iron Hide Amulet, you can buy some time and take a few blows but that won’t last as well. Hence, it pivotal that you rely on ranged attacks to beat the Redstone Golem, have a companion with you, and exploit the weakness I shared in the post.
When you encounter the monster in Redstone Mines, fortunately, the fighting space is large and you have plenty of space to distance yourself from the mini-boss. However, things can get tricky when you face the Redstone Golem in closed space and with its allies. Under such circumstance, it crucial that you quickly dispose all the support that monster has and if the situation allows, lure the monster in a more open space.
Once you manage to defeat the Redstone Golem, as a reward you can get food to restore health, TNT, and a Shadow Brew potion.
