It would allow the players to experiment with a variety of fighting styles and spells to there liking. This guide will tell you where all the materials can be found to craft these masks and how to use them.
What are Masks in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Masks in this game are like magic items that let you change your Masked Dancer Archetype powers and abilities. They can help you fight different enemies more effectively. Each mask has its own special strengths and weaknesses, so you need to choose the right one for each battle. The Royal Masked Dancer is a character that’s even more special than the other Masked Dancers. It has five unique masks, and the most important one is called the Dancer’s Mask. This mask allows it to use the abilities of the Persona Master, in addition to its own skills.
How to Craft Masks in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Once Juna joins your party in the 8th Month, you’ll be able to create masks through a special experiment at the Akademeia. After you unlock it, you’ll meet someone named More. He will teach you how to make Masks using Arcana Mask pieces. You get these pieces from battles and dungeons. To make a specific mask, you’ll need to have unlocked its Archetype by increasing your Follower Rank with the character associated with it.
- Collect Arcana Mask Pieces: Gather these crafting materials from enemies or treasure chests during dungeon runs. Each piece is tied to a specific Arcana which corresponds to different Masks.
- Access Special Experiments: After gathering enough pieces, head to Akademia and select “Special Experiments” to see which Masks are available for crafting.
- Choose a Mask: You can only craft Masks for Archetypes you’ve unlocked, so prioritize collecting Arcana pieces that match your ranked-up Archetypes.
- Complete the Crafting: Once a Mask is crafted, the process is irreversible. You can then equip the Mask on your Masked Dancer to inherit the skills and affinities of the linked Archetype.
You can buy masks in a few special stores in the game. These stores change what they sell depending on the day of the week in the game. One store is on Virga Island, which you can visit after you finish the Dragon Temple quest. The other store is in the mask inventory, but you need to unlock it first.
How to Use Masks in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Once you make your Masks, you can use them in battles. You put them on in the accessory slot, which means they replace whatever accessory you were using before. When you put a Mask on, your character gets the same elemental powers and skills as the Archetype that the Mask belongs to. Each Mask has a set of affinities that can change your character’s strengths and weaknesses against different elements.
