There are tons of new NPCs to meet while exploring the new Land of Shadows in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. One of the NPCs you will meet is Igon, a draconic warrior. Step 1
To start the quest, you need to first locate Drake Warrior Igon. You can find him crying near the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace. You can find this site of grace if you travel south after crossing the Ellac Greatbridge. You can also get here by traveling southeast from the Castle Ensis entrance. Talk to him for the first time, but you won’t get anything out of him. Instead, return a bit later and then he will tell you about locating Bayle the Dread and defeating him, thus starting the questline
Step 2
For this quest, you have to first reach the Foot of the Jagged Peak area. We have guides covering how to reach this point. Once you reach the area with the sleeping/dead dragons, head south towards the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Over there you can talk to the Dragon Communion Priestess, who will hand over the Ancient Dragon’s Blessing if you tell her that you wish to devour draconic essence. Equip the item in your equipment slot to use it during the boss fight
Step 3
Now, head northeast past the sleeping/dead dragons again and run under the stone archway towards the Foot of the Jagged Peak site of grace. You will soon reach the lair of the Jagged Peak Drakes nearby. Defeat them and you will find Igon crying close by again. Talk to him to receive Igon’s Furled Finger. Now make your way to find Bayle the Dread’s location, which is also covered in the guides listed above. Summon Igon using the furled finger and work together in defeating the boss
Step 4
After the death of Bayle, return to the Altar of Dragon Communion to collect your rewards from the Priestess. Use Bayle’s heart on the Altar to collect one of the two incantations; either Bayle’s Tyranny or Bayle’s Flame Lightning. You can also use the Priestess Heart to transform into Dragon Form. This is a one time use item, and cannot be reversed unless you are dead. After that, return to the location where you fought the Jagged Peak Drakes to find Igon dead. Loot his corpse to collect the following:
- Igon’s Armor
- Igon’s Bell Bearing
- Igon’s Gauntlets
- Igon’s Greatbow
- Igon’s Helm
- Igon’s Loincloth
