All Pokemons have IVs or Individual Values which is a fairly new feature that has been added to new Pokemon games. You will be able to increase the IVs which is a random number assigned to the Pokemon that you catch, in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. But first, you should learn how to check IVs of any Pokemon.
If you want to check a Pokemon’s IVs in Scarlet and Violet, you can do so using the unlockable IV Checker that is included in the game. You will actually only need this once you have completed the main story mission and are looking for some challenges. The post-game features are quite interesting, as you can check out in this guide: Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Post-Game Content – What To Do After Beating the Game?
To check IVs, you will need to unlock the IV Checker first. All you need to do is to take up the Gym challenge on Victory Road once you have defeated all of the eight Gyms in the game. Also, you will need to complete the Champion Assessment Exam.
Once you have fulfilled these requirements, enter a Pokemon Cente and interact with the Nurse there, who will unlock the feature for you. Now, you will be able to use it by pressing the X button and placing your cursor over the Pokemon you want to check, and pressing the + button.
