Every 72 minutes, you will have a different day, which is divided into day, dusk and night. Thus, there are approximately 20 Paldean days for every 24 real-life hours. You will be able to move the system clock 36 minutes forward to switch between day and night.
The first thing that you will need to do if you want to change the in-game time of day in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to move the system clock of your console 36 minutes forward. This will take effect and change the time of day from morning to night and vice versa.
All you will need to do is to close the game and make your way to the System Settings of your Nintendo Switch. Here, you will find the Date and Time option where you will need to turn off Synchronize Clock via the Internet. Now you will be able to move time forward in the system by 36 minutes without the game changing it back by connecting to the internet.
If you want to change the time naturally, you can simply log back into the game 36 minutes later. In case of bad weather, you only need to wait five minutes for it to pass.
