Hatenna is a Psychic Type Pokemon which can be found only in some specific regions on the map of Paldea. It looks like a walking plant, and you can find the location for it marked out below on the Pokedex in yellow.

The first thing that you will need to do if you want to catch Hatenna in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to track the Pokemon down. As you can see, you will be able to find Hatenna in the northeastern section of Paldea. It might be a little tricky to find, but make sure to look into the southwest and the northwestern part of Paldea.

The northwestern region is smaller, so you might need to focus on the southeast of Paldea to find this Pokemon. If you are having trouble you can try looking around the small ponds there, where you are most likely to find a Hatenna.

Approach the Pokemon and begin the battle in order to capture it. Make sure to use low-damage attacks as it is quite weak. Once you throw a Poke Ball, you can capture it.
