Whiteclad Noble Boss Fight Preparation
Since this boss is listed in your journal as a character, you do have a chance to fight him. You need to work on your stamina and health before you fight this boss. You can talk to Shen Monkey before entering the boss arena to upgrade your consumables and Gourd. That is only possible if you have collected the Luojia Fragrant Vine and Awakening Wine Worm earlier to help with the upgrade.
Use up your spark points to enhance the Pillar Stance, Smash Stance, or the Immobilize spell to effectively use them in battle. You can also invest in Red Tides and in the Martial Arts tree in Foundation
Whiteclad Noble Boss Fight Guide
Before you step foot into the arena to fight Whiteclad Noble, you need to know his moveset
- Whiteclad Noble uses a spear in battle, and can easily close the distance between you and him
- He can charge at your or leap into the air and land a charging thrust, and he might also skip around you and try to get you from behind
- He also does a spear toss after jumping up in the air and he also has the ability to quickly retrieve his spear
- As for spells, Whiteclad Noble does use water based projectiles and shoots them out of his spear while spinning around.
- He also has an AOE attack where he will whip up and spin water around him and deal damage
- There are two phases to this fight, and he will transform into a serpent in the second phase. This will make him faster and stronger than his first stage
You need to pay attention to his moveset and work on timing your dodges. If you can’t dodge on time, jump through the sweeping attacks instead. Use the Pillar Stance to avoid his ground-based attacks while giving you a clear sight of his airborne attacks. He won’t attack you repeatedly and will rather wait for you to make the first move, so try to land 2 or 3 hits before quickly backing away. He will soon unleash his combo moves if you linger too close to him, or he might use an AOE attack. His AOE attack is easy to predict, just look out for when he stands absolutely still with his spear in the water. If you see this, back away quickly
Landing your own combo hits is the only way to bring down his health. You can also get an advantage if you use Red Tide in the beginning of the match. Using Red Tide now will help reset your Might before the second phase. Time your attacks or use Immobilize while in a pinch to quickly hit him. But be weary of using up too much of your mana and consumables, as there are two stages to this boss fight. Use Immobilize if you are looking for a quick way out, but try to deal damage through combo moves. During the second stage when Whiteclad Noble transforms into a serpent, he will be a lot faster and will have full health again. His moveset remains almost the same, but will deal twice the damage now
Use Pillar Stance whenever you notice an incoming ground attack, and dodge frequently to avoid his long aim. You can now use Immobilize a bit more frequently and land as many finishing combos or heavy attacks now. But do keep a check on your mana, as this is the final round and you have to win it. If you have saved up your mana and consumables for the second round, you would have a better chance of winning this fight.
