Sister of Mercy is a challenging boss in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival as she is mostly airborne during the battle and makes it hard to do any melee combat. But having the necessary weapons, and positioning yourself strategically as well as cleverly using the Genesis Configuration will help you beat her.

Best Weapons and Preparation

Use a shotgun with Dragon’s Breath rounds because it will allow you to cause damage over time and interrupt Sister of Mercy’s actions. The Revolver is also a good choice as it deals high single-target damage, while the AK can inflict large amounts of damage when Sister of Mercy is restrained with Hell Chains.

When the fight starts, head over to the elevated walkways surrounding the dance floor. Eventually, blood will cover the ground and block movement in that area, but you can always smash some crates if you need more bullets.

How to Handle Sister of Mercy’s Attacks

Begin with Dragon’s Breath and set her ablaze, after that, use Hell Chains to immobilize her before shooting with either Revolver or AK. You can pull spikes and saws off the environment with Genesis Configuration and throw them at her.

Be careful of her dive-bomb strikes and waves of knives. The Genesis Configuration allows you to capture the incoming edges and bounce them back at her. She can also utilize these edges as a curtain and shield some of your gunfire, so removing them with the Genesis Configuration can save ammunition.

Use the gigantic columns in the arena to protect yourself against her long-range attacks, but don’t forget that her dive-bomb assault can break them.

Surviving the Crimson Mist Phase

Once she takes enough damage, Sister of Mercy will transform the entire room into a blood-red glow and vanish away. Go to the corner, take out your shotgun and keep an eye on the fog for her silhouette. Listen for her sound, and shoot as she comes near you to avoid her grabbing you.

Once she falls down, use Hell Chains on her to remove half of her limbs so that the damage she inflicts on you is reduced. Return to the elevated walkway when the fight resumes and continue using Dragon’s Breath, ranged weapons, and cover.

How to Finish the Fight

Use your Hell Chains to remove her last two arms once she collapses the second time. She will form a blade shield around her, which you can disable using Genesis Configuration. Once again her attacks will be limited to long-range once the shield is disabled, so you can remain relatively safe.

Keep attacking until she collapses for the final time, after which you will be able to execute her. You will walk away with a reward which is her heart, which can be fed to Sunny. You will also get a valuable item that can be sold to the vendor for a few coins.
