How To Show As Offline In Valorant
As mentioned earlier, Valorant does not provide such a function or a tool like other games such as Call of Duty or Overwatch that can allow you to appear offline. Hence, you have to rely on a third-party software.
This software is called Deceive and although Valorant does not discourage the use of such software they try and disable the software from functioning. The way the software works is it terminates the connection between the client and the Riot’s Chat servers. It’s as simple as that, nothing fancy.
After you follow the link to the GitHub page, scroll-down to the bottom of the page and click the Deceive.exe link. Once the file is downloaded, create a shortcut and add valorant at the end of the target path. You can watch the video instruction on the download page.
After you have completed the above steps, run the program and Valorant will load automatically.
Alternatively, you can also terminate the Valorant chat server from your computer via the Command Prompt by altering the Firewall Rules.
Alter Firewall Rules to Go Offline in Valorant Chat
To perform this process, you have to launch the Valorant client and log-in with your server. Once logged-in, open Command Prompt in admin mode. Press Windows Key + R and type cmd, hit Shift + Ctrl + Enter simultaneously and command prompt with open in admin mode.
Paste the command netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=”valorantchat” dir=out remoteport=5223 protocol=TCP action=block and hit enter.
If you would like to be online again, open Command Prompt and type netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name=”valorantchat” and hit enter.
