One of the tasks you will get during your stay on Coral Island is to dive underwater and help clear up all the trash. You will also find some mysterious statues along the way, but they won’t be activated until you find the Solar Orb. To unlock diving, you need to get a letter from Marine Biologist Ling, in which she will be interested in handing over her diving gear.
After you acquire this, you can start diving underwater. You will get another task from Ling sometime later, where you have to clear out the oil spills on the ocean floor. When you get underwater, you will find strange stone statues around different areas of the ocean. To activate them, you need to pick up the debris on the floor using the scythe. Along the way, you will find a golden orb buried under the sand. You can click on it to activate it, and it will head over to the Sun Stone Statue.
When the Sun Stone Statue is completely activated, it will force a beam toward the middle of the ocean bed, which brings out a pillar from the floor. The pillar will then effectively cleanse the coral reefs in that area from oil spills, restoring the ocean floor to its former glory.
