Scraping in MW4 DMZ is a lot different from what you would think. There isn’t any way for you to manually scrap your items in order to get your resources. Instead, some items that will be considered as junk in the game will be converted into resources and sent straight to your 3D Printer.  Here’s how scrapping works and how you can make the most of it in MW4 DMZ.

How Scrapping Works

Items cannot be scrapped or decommissioned by hand in order to extract resources in MW4 DMZ. Instead, you can sell any unnecessary items in the hub world or just drop them on the field during the game. The process of scrapping in MW4 DMZ is somewhat different from what you might think. There is no need to disassemble items manually to acquire resources. Instead, the game automatically scraps certain items of junk which you obtain from loot boxes.

Some of these items are Mechanical Scraps, Scissors, Fabrics, and other items which become resources for your 3D printer. There are some traits like Resource Pocket which provide a 20% increase in printer resources from scrapped items. However, it may be confusing since the main loot window does not show additional resources.

In order to transfer the collected resources to the Stash through scrapping, you must successfully exfil. Manual scrapping is not allowed in MW4 DMZ. But you have the option of printing collected ingredients in the form of other ingredients through the process known as Ingredient Printing. This is done by unlocking the Ingredient Printing Upgrade from the 3D Printer menu. This allows you to use your surplus material in a productive manner instead of wasting it in the inventory.
