Blue Prince has a plethora of rooms that have different purposes in the game. The boiler room is helpful in the game as it can be used to connect power to other required rooms. However, at the start of the game, Boiler Room doesn’t have any power, and you can’t access the other end of the metal passageway until the power supply comes online again. How do you activate the boiler room in Blue Prince?
There are a few prerequisites to keep in mind before activating the power of the Boiler Room in Blue Prince.
Green Steam Tanks
The Boiler Room consists of a green steam tank on the upper floor and two on the lower floor. Each of these tanks has valves to control the steam they release. This is channelled out through the connecting pipes on the tanks.
Red Pipes
You can control the direction of the steam with the help of two rotatable red pipes on the lower floor.
Blue Hand Levers
As the red pipes direct the steam, there are two hand levers to control which direction the steam should flow. One of the levers is on the upper floor, while another one is on the lower floor.
Control Panel
Finally, this is the most essential part of the entire ordeal. This control panel is the heart of the boiler room and will allow you to activate the power in the room. This will direct the flow of steam through the ducts and generate power in the Boiler Room.

Connecting Power to the Boiler Room
You can connect the power of the boiler room in Blue Prince to other available rooms as well. To do so, you’ll have to access the control panel on the upper floor and then direct the power towards the doorway. Afterwards, just draft the room that you need powered from the Boiler Room.

You can always draft a room with ducts, such as the boiler room, security room, laboratory, pump room, locker room, passenger room, archives, or the darkroom. Power can be channelled through these ducts to the required rooms. This allows you to draft those rooms again, and once the connection has been done successfully, the ducts will start to glow with a blue tint.
