The easiest way you can get Half Plate Armor is to visit the Nameless Apothecary in the Nameless Village. You can visit the Nameless Village as part of a quest. Once you do, visit the vendor here to check out their wares. The Half Plate Armor sells for 9600 G.
If you don’t have that kind of money, you can also scavenge for it in the overworld. For this, you need to make your way to River’s Edge Grotto. You can get here if you travel northwest of Vernworth towards a small waterfall, or north of Derelict Mine. You have to make your way down to the river and keep going towards the base of the waterfall. You will soon find a cave opening nearby. Within this cave are several chests containing rare loot. To find the Half Plate Armor, you have to make it to the very end of the cave. At the end of the cave is a chest with this item
