Genshin Impact Version 3.4 is finally heating up with a combat event featuring Lisa’s skin as the final reward. In Second Blooming, you pick characters to form 3 teams with some shared slots and pick individual skills for each team to buff their specific purpose. There are even trial characters provided for those who don’t have that many characters built.
We’ve already covered a guide for Day 1 and Day 2 of the challenge and in this article, we’ll cover what Day 3 has to offer.
Second Blooming Day 3
On the third day, only Elites spawn and they range from Lawachurls and Ruin Guards on the first round to Primal Constructs and Eremites in the third. Both the first and third rounds have enemies with multiple resistances and are thus harder to kill- therefore we recommend you put your strongest teams for Round 1 and Round 3. Round 2 only consists of Fungi which are relatively easier to deal with.
That said, shielders are highly recommended for all teams as most enemies can stagger you which can interrupt your rotations and attack sequence. As long as they are reliable shielders and you have an optimal rotation in mind to maintain almost 100% shield up-time, you’re good to go. For our run, we went with Zhongli on the first and third rounds using the shared slot as those are the two rounds that can do the most damage. For Round 2, we used Diona who’s not only a good shielder but also doubles up as a healer.
Round 1
Since we wanted to maximise our damage we went with the Rational team spin-off with Zhongli for shield instead of Bennett for healing and buff. Here Yelan replaces Xingqiu which is good because she also has higher damage numbers as a 5-star. Here, you could also just go for a Vape or Melt team with Yoimiya, Hu Tao, Yanfei or Diluc.
For skills, you can go with ATK% buff and Burst DMG buff- since everyone on your team would just be spamming their bursts.
Round 2
This section has Fungi elites who can stagger or even worse- Freeze you if you’re not careful. Dendro is an effective element against them but you could also just use basic Melt or Vaporise teams as Fungi are generally weak to Pyro. Using a unit like Nahida or Raiden that do damage on set intervals and have an AoE or connect enemies is useful here as they spawn in groups of 3.
As for skills, you can go with Hydro DMG bonus and CRIT DMG% but you can use other combinations also depending on your team comp.
Round 3
The third round also benefits from someone like Nahida or Raiden but Nahida is of course the better pick. We went with an Aggravate team with Bennett to boost Yae’s ATK but you could also just as easily use a Hydro unit like Barbara or Kokomi for healing and Hyperblooms or even units like Childe or Ayato if you want a main on-field Hydro DPS.
As for Skills, we went with Electro DMG buff and ER buff since Yae’s burst is costly and it’s convenient to have more ER since you can unleash more bursts that way.
At this point, you can tell that the difficulty level has spiked but since you get to use three meta trial characters (Raiden, Yelan and Xiangling) the fights still seem an easy clutch. We recommend you use the trial characters even if you have your own built- unless you’ve hyper-invested into your versions of the character or own constellations of that character since all the trial characters are at C0.
